Gymea Community Preschool is a community-based not-for-profit centre in the Sutherland Shire. Our team of highly trained, passionate and caring staff provide a quality preschool education program, welcoming children from 3-5 years old of all backgrounds and abilities.We believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, and when engaged, intrigued and inspired by their environment. Our staff ensure that they establish a strong relationship with each child, understanding their unique interests and learning needs.

Our Philosophy
Our preschool’s aim is to provide a home-like atmosphere that caters for each child’s physical, creative, emotional, intellectual, social and language development through play.
We structure our programs to entice children to participate in a secure, happy and relaxed atmosphere, providing opportunities for them to develop ideas and skills, question bias and utilise critical thinking skills, while developing their self-confidence, self-esteem and self-discipline.
We recognise and celebrate diversity, both in our local, national and international communities, providing opportunities for children to learn about and respect diversity of culture, religion, gender, race, ability and family structure.
